I think the narration gets better the further into the story one listens. The Lady Most Likely is an utterly charming concoction, a novel written in three parts by three very good friends: Julia Quinn, Connie Brockway, and myself. It's nice to see the characters matched with partners best suited to their personalities. ![]() That said, the writing styles of the contributing authors are complementary and make for seamless storytelling. Hugh Dunne, the Earl of Briarly, needs a wife - so his sister hands him a list of the very best young ladies on the market. As with The Lady Most Likely, you will have to suspend your modern day rational thinking about how relationships develop into marriage and even moreso given the circumstance of how the characters come together in this one, however I guess with any such novels of this period genre it's a must. ![]()
